NLP Demo

At RollCall, we believe that voice detection system with optimal AI and machine learning algorithms that implement speech recognition will allow for shy students to ask questions using the input boxes anonymously, the teacher to be more alert of these questions, and a more efficient class experience while still adhering student understanding. Here is a demo of the NLP model. While the teacher is speaking, if he/she says "hey class..." and asks a question, a poll is automatically created and sent to all students to answer. The machine learning model uses Natural Language Processing to convert speech in call from teacher to text and analyzes text. Based on what the teacher says, it adjusts the student poll contextually (Yes/No vs 1-10 scale) . The student's response and questions are simultaneously displayed for the teacher so the teacher can answer it. NOTE: The model is a lot faster at detecting, but due to slow WiFI in the demo, it has slowed down. Also, the model detects faster speaking than displayed in the demo.

Candice Huang, like Andrew, is a LaunchX alum who specializes in marketing. She has previously done extensive marketing work for many companies.

Chief Executive Officer

A passionate entrepreneur, Andrew attended the LaunchX entrepreneurship program in 2019, was a LaunchX Regional Director, and specializes in marketing and market research. His past leadership experiences include founding an international nonprofit with 550+ members and counting and co-founding Quatido, a startup making smartwatches for musicians.

Yash Gupta

Chief Technology Officer

Yash Gupta works on the natural language processing model that analyzes the speech of the teacher. As per his prior experience, he has been programming for several years, developing small scale and large scale projects through hackathon and web development. He has also had many machine learning internships in which he worked on larger scale projects.

Ashika Palacharla

Chief Design Officer and Cybersecurity Expert

An avid graphic designer and artist, Ashika brings her excellent design skills to the team, ensuring an aesthetic and user-friendly experience.

Ashika also was Number 2 in the United States for CyberPatriot, the largest cybersecurity competition. Being literally the 2nd best teen cybersecurity expert, Ashika has what it takes to make sure Rollcall users and their data are safe and secure.
